Just2Minutes.in is committed to delivering concise, accurate, and valuable information that readers can consume in approximately two minutes. Our goal is to simplify complexity without compromising truth, fairness, or context. Content spans topics including but not limited to current affairs, technology, lifestyle, productivity, and explainers.

2. Editorial Independence

  • No external influence: Content decisions are made solely by our editorial team, free from advertiser, sponsor, or political pressure.

  • Sponsored content clarity: Any paid or sponsored piece will be clearly labelled as “Sponsored” or “Paid Partnership” and will not be written or approved by the core editorial staff.

  • Affiliate links: If we use affiliate links, they are disclosed at the start or end of the piece.

3. Accuracy & Fact-Checking

  • Verification before publication: All claims, statistics, quotes, and data points are cross-checked against primary sources or at least two reliable secondary sources.

  • Corrections policy: If an error is discovered post-publication, we will promptly issue a correction notice at the top of the article, noting the original error and the fix. Significant errors may trigger a full update or retraction.

  • No speculation as fact: Unconfirmed rumours or forward-looking statements are clearly labelled as “unconfirmed” or “speculative.”

4. Sourcing & Attribution

  • Named sources preferred: We prioritise on-the-record, identifiable sources. Anonymous sources are used only when they face genuine risk (e.g., whistleblowers) and after approval by a senior editor.

  • Link to originals: Wherever possible, we hyperlink to original research, official statements, or primary documents.

  • Plagiarism zero-tolerance: All content is original. External quotations or ideas are attributed explicitly.

5. Brevity Without Bias

Given the two‑minute format:

  • We avoid oversimplification that distorts meaning. Key context (dates, caveats, opposing views) must be included even in short posts.

  • Summaries maintain the original tone and intent of the source material.

  • Headlines must not exaggerate or mislead (“clickbait” is prohibited).

6. Diversity & Fairness

  • Respectful language: No hate speech, personal attacks, stereotypes, or discriminatory content.

  • Balanced representation: When covering disputes, we provide reasonable space to relevant opposing viewpoints, unless one side is demonstrably false or harmful.

  • Correction of biases: Editors and writers undergo periodic training on unconscious bias and inclusive writing.

7. Corrections & Retractions

  • Minor corrections (typos, date errors): Fixed silently but noted in the revision log.

  • Major factual errors: A correction notice added at the top, explaining the mistake and correction. The original text remains struck through or archived for transparency.

  • Retractions: If an article is fundamentally wrong or based on fabricated information, it will be removed, and a retraction notice (stating why) will be published in its place.

8. Conflicts of Interest

  • Disclosure required: Writers, editors, and contributors must disclose any financial, personal, or professional ties to topics they cover.

  • Recusal: Anyone with a direct conflict (e.g., stock ownership in a company they are writing about, family in politics) is recused from the assignment.

  • Outside work: Contributors may not accept payment from subjects they cover on Just2Minutes.in.

9. User-Generated Content & Comments

  • Moderation: Comments are moderated for legality, civility, and relevance. We do not edit comments — we approve, reject, or remove them.

  • Impersonation & spam: Prohibited and subject to immediate ban.

  • Our responsibility: User comments do not reflect the views of Just2Minutes.in. However, we will remove any that violate our guidelines.

10. Social Media & Fast Updates

  • Same standards apply: Posts on X, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc., adhere to accuracy, attribution, and respect policies.

  • Corrections on social: If a tweet or short post contains an error, we reply with a correction and delete the original if misleading.

11. Review & Enforcement

  • Editorial review board: Comprising the Editor-in-Chief and two senior writers, the board meets monthly and for any serious complaint.

  • Violations: Repeated breaches of this policy result in suspension or termination of contributors.

  • Public accountability: This policy is publicly available. Readers can report concerns via editor@just2minutes.in.

Before publishing on Just2Minutes.in, verify:

  • Is every fact verifiable from a primary or two secondary sources?

  • Are anonymous sources approved by an editor?

  • Is any conflict of interest disclosed?

  • If sponsored/affiliate, is it clearly labelled?
